Looking to install new blinds in your property but unsure which type to go for? This blog article will look at the various qualities of panel blinds, roller blinds, roman blinds, venetian blinds and vertical blinds, and note a few of the settings where they typically work best. When you’ve made your selection, you’ll find all of the blinds mentioned are available from Sunblinds and Curtains.
Panel Blinds
The first of the five quality blinds under examination, panel blinds have a distinctive appearance, are good at controlling light and heat levels, and provide excellent privacy. Furthermore, they solve window-covering issues that other blinds can’t (see below), are durable, and play well with kids and pets.
Suit: Very large windows or bifold doors, rooms that open onto balconies or patios, rooms that you wish to divide internally by means of a blind.
Roller Blinds
Roller blinds are affordable blinds. That doesn’t mean they aren’t fashionable blinds, though. There are oodles of modern colours, patterns and prints available. One of the reasons so many folks love roller blinds best is they are as easy to maintain as they are to operate – not to mention effective at blocking light, heat, ambient noise, etc.
Suit: Windows of up to quite large sizes. They are also enduringly popular with landlords for use in rental properties.
Roman Blinds
Among the most fashionable blinds, roman blinds have a special charm. Of course, they give plenty of control over external light/internal privacy and add insulation to the room when closed. What is sometimes missed is that on top of this, they are an excellent way to maximise the available window space.
Suit: These are very versatile, but you’ll often see them employed where the owner wants to make a style statement, e.g. in the lounge room.
Venetian Blinds
Like all five of the blinds listed here, venetian blinds are quality blinds. They are definitely affordable blinds, supremely adaptable (with almost unlimited combinations of inward/outward tilts and raising/lowering), highly durable and pretty easy to care for.
Suit: You name it! That said, they fit easily into business decors, so are more likely to be seen in commercial settings than some rival blinds.
Vertical Blinds
Quality blinds with eye-pleasing lines, vertical blinds are on par with venetians in their ability to allow the perfect amount of light and heat into a room. Along with being extremely adjustable, they are not difficult to maintain, either.
Suit: Sliding and bifold doors. More commonly found in residences than businesses, although they can work great in the right office (where there’s a lot of glass).
